My parents dont trust me! Think im sneaking out!?

Question

OK i have a window in my room thats right by our pool in the back yard! A while ago my boyfriend was over and idk I just decided it would be cool to take off the window screen and so we could jump into the pool. I took the screen off and then I layed the screen on my bed.. I totally forgot about it and ended up stepping on the screen and damaging it.. I put it back so it looked fixed and then moved on with life. Now my step dad saw it and hes like ur grounded, and they are CONVINCED that im sneaking out! I really would NOT do that, you have to understand I am not rebellious anymore to them I have no intention to sneak out.. And i wish they trusted me.. Well now their like oh you cant see your boyfriend anymore blah blah blah. What do I do or say to help them believe me??? They think im using an excuse!

Just tell them the truth about how the screen got damaged, & make sure you explain that it happened ages ago, just that one time, and that you totally get that it was a dumb thing to do and that you're sorry. You might want to offer to pay for the screen to be replaced or fixed. Be really sincere and stay calm, and hopefully they'll realize you're telling the truth about not sneaking out and back off.

Parents are pretty hard to convince so i would just move on with it. Just build your trust with them. Talk to your mom about it since she knows you best. good luck

You still screwed up (as some how I doubt they approve of you jumping out of your bedroom window into the pool... not to mention that pretty much means that you've allowed your boyfriend into your bedroom without any adult supervision.  So even if your being honest now, I still don't think you're trustworthy at this point.
