My parents got me snow clothes and the pants have suspenders. Are suspenders dorky or does everyone wear them?

The suspenders are detachable but I don't know if that'll work well with the pants. So should I be that worried about wearing them? Am I gonna look dorky. Last detail: I'm a snowboarder, not a skiier.

Well, dont use the suspenders. Take them off...they are detachable. Just wear the pants. If you attach the suspenders on to the pants, it would be like a ski bib and ski bibs doesnt really help the snowboarders.

You shouldnt think about what you look like...what you should think of is will you be warm

While I think that there are probably cooler snow clothes than the ones you have - I think most young people think  snow pants are a little dorky but NOT when you are snowboarding!!!Dorky to wear to school. Dorky to wear just to be outside in winter. But when snowboarding everyone knows how cold it can get so  its not so dorky to wear proper clothing.

ALL OF THEM HAVE SUSPENDERS, WHICH OU WEAR UNDERNEATH YOUR JACKET. but i dont think anyone would go snowboarding to make fu of other snowboarder, theyt would go to snowboard

No one will see the straps under your jacket. Why are you worried about what you look like. You should be concerned about how warm you will stay.

Many of the older style ski gear was bib and brace like you have.  You dont usually see the bib and brace unless it is a very warm day as you would most likely have a parka over the top.

I'd say they're so dorky they're cool, if they are a sweet color (my mum used to have some purple somewhat metallic looking bell-bottom suspender pants). If for some reason you have to take off your jacket and expose them, act cool, no biggie, maybe people are just giggling with envy, and why does it matter what they think....oh, no most people wear snowboarding pants, (if your a girl think of it as a one piece bathing suit (being suspenders) compared to a bikini (snowboarding pants) more so in the convenience way i compare them, style is just a bonus..just contradicted myself, eh)

You'll look like more of a dork if your pants are down at your ankles. Just change your clothes before you go out to pick up chicks.

Okay, since everyone here who has answered is probably super old: Yes, you will be made fun of. You will stick out, abosolutely nobody wears those lol. Watch out for snowballs ;)
