My parents kicked me out. They won't let me get any of my stuff. I literally have the clothes on my back. Is there a law saying that they have to let me retrieve some basic things. Also, I personally own and purchased many things that they still have. Are there any laws about this, like a possession of stolen property of something? Thanks for all your help in advance.

  1. That happened to me.  I had the clothes on my back and no ID's or anything.  You just have to tuff it out.  I called the cops so I could my stuff. They came and the had my mom give me one bag of stuff.   Then I eventually became self-suffient.  What did you do that you got kicked out.  I know what I did, maybe you could try working things out with your mom and show her that you want to be responisble.  You will look back in several years and realize thta she is only trying to show how hard and cruel the world is.  Good Luck.  Take it one step at a time, in the end you will be closer than ever to your mom for showing you some tough love.

  2. Go to a police station and ask for help retrieving your things and perhaps a lawyer in the mean time stay at a friends house dont make contact with them. it can only make matter worse. and yes it is your right to retrieve your things.

  3. Go to the police. There is a law that states you are a minor and they are breaking the law. Also that is your personal property and the police will follow you home to retreive you belongings. Also stay with friends and or family.try looking for a roommate or family member if you can no longer go home.

  4. Hi. I am so sorry this is happening to you. It's sad when families have this type of problems. But I think the other answers on here are pretty much correct. If you have to get the law to help you get some things that you need to survive then that is what I would do in your case. I still hope you will be able to work something out with your family though. Just take care of yourself. We're all hoping the best for you

  5. break in the house, take ur stuff, then tell them to burn in h**l, and tell them you hope they choke. :-) xoxoxo

  6. how are you on a computer?

  7. well yea there is you are still a child till you are 18 and if you need your stuff call the police and they  will go and get your stuff for you !

  8. That other person's right. By law, you are a minor and your parents have no choice but to take care of you. So if you guys can't talk it out, you could threaten them that you'll go to the police station. It'll make this HUGE mess for your parents to fix, though. Depends if you're holding a grudge against them and want them to go through h**l, go to the station, don't wanna get cops involved, just go to the house and get your stuff when they aren't home. XD that's what I'd do.

  9. They legally cannot throw you out if you're 17 - that's illegal and wrong...

  10. you are only 17. they have the right to take care of you until 18. You can get the police involved if you want because you are still consider underage.
