  1. well, u could explain to your parents and hope they dont get angry or you could use a tampon. thats what there made for, for active girls and for when your swimming. i had my period the day b4 i was to go to a waterpark. i used one and i was fine

    good luck

  2. I think that you should wear a tampon, stop worrying about sharks, and have fun. A shark attack is 1 in 12 million. Keep your mind focused on technique and you won't have time to worry.

  3. If you have used tampons before, by all means use them. take a few for changing. There are tampons designed for young adults if you find them uncomfortable. Ask your parents or a grown up more about this issue. They feel uncomfortable at first but eventually you'll get use to them. I'm a swimmer and a surfer and I only wear a tampon when I'm in the water.

Don't miss this opportunity, it's worth it and you'll be glad you got the chance to be at surf camp.

Sharks only attack if they have been provoked or agitated by the person. There is more human male attacks than females, this may be, perhaps, our blood (menstrual) works as a repellent for sharks. Talk to your camp counselor if you have more questions. Remember, you're probably not the only female at the camp. Others probably feel the same way as you.

    Have fun!

  4. well when i go on a surfing holiday i go to my doctors and ask for period delay tablets you take them 3 times a day and it delays your period for how ever long you wanted, i hate tampons and as people have said before sharks are attracted to blood so if there is a problem such as its not inserted properly etc.... but yeah go to your doctors and ask about delaying it thats what i usually do :D

  5. sharks are attracted to blood but if your worried about that statistically you should be more worried about car accident on the way.  talk to someone maybe a female counselor at camp, maybe mom you gotta have the talk sometime anyway.  there is no excuse for you to go into this situation uncomfortably you can talk just open your mouth be a strong young woman!
