My parents won't let me get a facebook because they don't want colleges looking at my profile.?

What should I tell them to convince them to let me have one?

That these site can be set to private so only friends can view your page.  And you're not dumb and wont just accept anyone.

Not the answer you want, but being on facebook can threaten your career further down the line. Ask your parents to explain their decision more.

I kind of the their point but just explain to them that ur not going to put anything dodgy on there:P Be like 'So wot u think I'm gonna put on there?' See what they say : ) x

Tell them you'll only add people you know, that they can look at your profile anytime they want, & that you'll set EVERYthing to private to EVERYONE you don't know.

tell them everyone in the entire world has facebook

like practically everyone... who has a computer.

and tell them you can set it to friends only so noone can see your page unless they are your friend so you would know them.....!
