My parents won't listen to anything I say! They always blame me about stupid things?

Question

Like today I was putting my contacts in while my parents were making like a big breakfast with bacon and eggs and so my mom calls me and says its ready so i was all "ok hang on" and starts taking a while cause theres like some hair or something in my contacts and my mom is getting annoyed in the other room so then i hear her yell something, i thought it was to the cats, but she comes like barriling in my bathroom and is all "WHY ARE YOU TAKING SO LONG?! COME OUT AND EAT. NOW!"

And i was like wtf "ok well im sorry but theres something in my contacts so just hang on"

and then when i go in the kitchen in a few seconds my parents start like screaming at me cause i was taking so long.

I mean WTF. I WAS PUTTING IN MY CONTACTS WHAT DID THEY WANT ME TO DO?!

Well like usual, they always have a reason and my moms like "WELL...YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE PUT THEM IN WHILE WE WERE ABOUT TO EAT"

and i was like "HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW WHEN EXATCLY WE'RE EATING?!"

and shes like "YOU COULD HAVE ASKED!"

omg.

they wont listen to anything i say.

then during the whole breakfast they start aruguing with me that i don't spend enough time with them, i never go out there to say like hi to them or whatever, and i care to much about myself?

wth.

im a 15 year old teenager girlll......I DON'T WANT TO SPEND TIME WITH MY PARENTS!

I HAVE OTHER THINGS TO DO!

they think im so anti- social (im the opposite) because i dont spend time with them.

and then they start aruging like "oh well you know you could have come out here and talked with us and not spend your time in your room" or whatever

and i was just like exploding.

"WELL I WAS PUTTING IN MY CONTACTS! WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO? I'm going over my friends house later...i wanted to start getting ready. im a teenager i dont WANT to spend time with you"

and then my dads all "WELL I SPENT TIME WITH MY MOTHER. SHE DIDNT EVEN SPEAK GOOD ENGLISH."

omg

They won't listen to anything i say... =(

i was on your side until you said this crappy sentence. you have no idea how alot of teens take their parents for granted. they only appreciate them when something bad happens to them or when their parents spend 600 bucks on them.

just because youre a teenager that DOES not mean its such a sin or hassle to spend time with your famliy. and the way you talk to them, gosh if i did that to my mom, my head would be through the wall. i just can't stand the way kids are today, they think the world revolves around them and think they can just go around and do whatever they want whenever they want and however they want. no wonder the world is just.....

look you mom was about jumping down your throat when you were putting contacts in. but in MY opinion i think the way you talk back to them and treat them is probably the biggest problem of all.

Well really you were only putting in your contacts the contacts were not going anywhere. If you just think of dinner time as your parents quality time with you it only takes what ? no more than 15 20 minutes have a chat and thats it you have spent that quality time they are looking for they can't sook about you not spending that time with them and you can go back to your contacts and get ready to go out.

Well my parents sorta kinda used to be like that. Honestly, your just making the situation worse by yelling and talking back to them. Next time they do it, just try to ignore it.

therapy? stay at a friends house for a few days see if things calm down, also what you can do is when they yell at you you shouldn't yell back, it's only fueling the fire.
