My parents won't support me in the 40 hour famine because im doing a funiture famine instead of a technology ?

They won't sponser me, they get angry at me telling me its pathetic and etc, because im choosing a furniture famine. How can I convince them that it isn't a bad choice to choose the furniture famine.

What is a furniture (or funiture you spelled it both ways) famine?  I looked it up both ways on the web but they talked about it as two words.

Furniture or funiture and famine (like a country is starving to death).

I didn't understand this question, so I had to look it up to understand what you were asking.  But I think I get it now.

I imagine that your parents probably think that you should do the technology one because it would be a much bigger challenge for you to not use any technology for 40 hours thank it would be to sleep and sit on the floor.  (And for most young people, I agree that the technology one would be much more difficult!).

How about not speaking for 40 hours?  Not using any electricity? Isolating yourself from your friends and family?  Perform some sort of community service instead of doing what you usually do.
