My parents wont let me drive & I have my license?

Question

I've had my junior license for 5 months already. I had to wait until my birthday - which is in a few days [I will be 17] - & then I legally have my license & can drive.

My mom wont let me drive "her car" because she says that if I 'kill someone' she is liable & my family can lose our house & everything we own. .. It really upsets me because i took drivers ed & paid with my own money .. i have been anxiously waiting for my birthday to come ever since I took drivers ed just so I can drive ... i really want to drive I have 3 cars so its not like my parents will be short of a car.

I just don't understand my parents you dont know how it upsets me that I cant drive .. my boyfriend drives, my 2 cousins that are my age, ALL of my friends .. its so not fair ... i dont even want a car i just want to drive .. i dont get it .. whyy is she so mean to me? I am mature enough & have proven to my dad (because my mom NEVER lets me "practice drive" with her) multiple times that i can handle driving ..

Their house their  rules until you can live on your own you have to deal with it.

In a few days you will be 17 and the issue would be resolved. Don't turn your parents down. Be a good girl.

The cars belong to your mom and dad, if they don't want you driving them then that's up to them.

Save money and buy your own.
