My parents would've be died before the petition was approved can my sister do the petition?

my parents and my 2 younger sister are now u.s citizen...i want to ask if can my younger sister can file the petition for me to live in u.s instead of my parents because my parents would've be died before the petition get approved because of the long process..i am 22 year old now and i am already married..my parents are now 49 and 50 yr old..i wanna ask what would be the best or who would be the best option to petition me and my husband to live in u.s? please anyone who read my query...thank you and God bless..

  1. Your parents.  They have years of life left unless they have a disease.  Even if they are dying, they should still sign.


  2. your parents would be the best option in terms of faster processing. your sister's petition would take 15-25 years.  

  3. At the present rate of processing, it takes about 17 years before the 3rd Preference of the Family Class becomes current. (A visa number is available for issuance). That means if you are petitioned today, your parents will be about 65 and 67 years old when your priority date becomes current. So do not worry. You will be only 39. Who knows, maybe the new administration may speed up the process. Let your parents petition for you and your family.**
