  1. the smell was the brakes prob not much damage once it cools off keep eye on brakes though

  2. basically you wore down the rear brake shoes a little more than you should have wanted to at this time other than that nothing.

  3. it just burned the brakes down. get em checked in case. drive careful til inspected. any tire place can look and see if there is damage or need to be replaced.

  4. you probably put a lot of wear on your brakes

I would have them looked at.

In fact if you look at them yourself, and the metal of the rotors appears blue(ish) they need to be replaced for sure.

  5. What you need to do is have a repair shop look at it now and check the rear brakes completely, you did get them hot but at the same time you may have done no damage but it would be wise to have them checked anyway...

  6. about the only thing you would have done is put a little more wear and tear on the drivetrain and your brakes will wear out a little faster then normal but it shouldnt have done any damage that you need to take care of everything should be just fine

  7. if your car has rear drum brakes have someone check the shoes. If you have rear disc brakes you could have warped the rotors with the heat buildup.

The emergency brake shoes on a rear disc are very small and can wear out quickly if you drive with the brake on . have them checked.

  8. the smell was your brake lining burning. most likely your ok but watch it as in most cases the emergency brake is the same brake lining that stops your car normally

  9. brakes just  got hot

obviosly they need an adjust men ....tighten them up as u should have trouble driving if they are set correctly

    no great damage to car
