My partner and I are going to San Fran to get Married. We need help finding a place to do it. ?

We were planning on doing it at city hall after we got our license . I didn't think of making a reservation.We now its to late. So now they are completely booked for the week we will be there. Can anyone help us find a place that will marry us on such short notice. Also we are doing this whole thing on a close budget. We are going to be in San Fran last week of September.

A marriage license issued in San Francisco County is good anywhere in California. There are eight other counties in Metropolitan San Francisco (Marin, San Mateo, Alameda, Sonoma, Napa, Contra Costa, Solano, Santa Clara). All of which have judges who'll happily perform public marriages within an hour's drive from the city center.

Just because San Francisco City Hall is booked solid (as it often is), doesn't mean there aren't other courthouses available. I'm sure somebody's City Hall will have space for you to conduct a ceremony.

Of course, you can contact a church and hire your own clergy. But that will almost always cost considerably more.
