He is originally from Iraq but hasn't got an Iraqi Passport and doesn't want one but i did read somewhere that he cant have a Travel Document unless he has a passport or can prove he has been refused a passport fron his country. He does have an Indefinate Leave to Remain in the UK.

  1. probably on scotland yard  radar screens    he can't go anywhere  without a passport  i am kind skeptical about    this Indefinate leave  to remain in UK

  2. Why not apply for UK citizenship then?

    He wont be able to travel anywhere without a passport, unless it is directly back to his own country.

  3. why don't he want the passport ?

  4. This section explains what Home Office travel documents you may be able to obtain if you need to travel outside the United Kingdom but are unable to use a passport issued by your own country.

    You can apply to us for a travel document in certain special circumstances. We issue different types of travel document depending on those circumstances and also on your status in the United Kingdom.

    The four types of travel document are:

    convention travel document (for refugees);

    stateless persons' document;

    one-way document (known as an IS137); and

    certificate of identity.

    You can contact us for more information about making an application for a travel document.
