When they close the store they will relocate him to another store but this may be a fair distance from our home....will he have rights to ask for travelling expenses etc? He is currently an assistant manager, will he have the right to keep that status or can they downgrade him? Thanks!

  1. Dude is right. Unless he has a contract agreements or is union an employee has very few rights.

  2. I am assuming that he doesn't have an employment contract, and that he is not part of an union.

Chances are he doesn't have many rights, if not any.  Good places to check:

    1) Call your state office.  Labor issues are managed at the state level, so search for the office of labor or similar office

    2) Employee manual and policies at the company (call the HR department).
