My passport was lost by Indian consulate in toronto, how do i make them pay,whome shld i contact in canda?

i sent my passport to indian consulate in toronto by canada post, i got a signature from indian consulate that it is recieed but when i went there they told me they dont have any passport with that name, i showed them the signature but they said they receive 1000 letters in a day, they dont have track of all, they just sign on a sheet and give it to post office.

  1. If your passport is a Canadian passport, you must immediately notify the police and Passport Canada about the loss of it.


  2. Ooooh that's not good. They'll probably sell it to someone in India. You better get a new number and everything and protect your identity.

    Oh yeah and for those that call me racist for playing down the indian consulate just now that i'm indian.

  3. You need to promptly notify the post office to see if it was indeed delivered to where you addressed the package to and exactly who signed for it. Then you can get back to the consulate in Toronto for them to do a further check for your passport. You should notify your Canadian passport authorities about your lost passport because it will be a lenghty and exhaustive process for you to be issued another passport. If you have any valid visas in that passport you should promptly report it to the relevant country embassies/consulates so you don't fall victim to identity theft and be later accused of all sorts of criminal or immigration transgressions.
