My pay check bounced what should i do

i heard that my boss check were bounceing so i checked my saving acc. it looked right. i got a bank statment what should i tell my boss this is the frist time a check bounced on me

~~I would definitly make him aware ASAP. He probably already knows and should have contacted you immediately. However, you need the check and so he needs to figure out a way to pay you, or you could have him fined. I hope it is just an honest mistake, but with this economy...... I think I would ask for a meeting to find out the financial situation now!~~

Labor laws will help enforce payment, in some cases, even back pay for every day after the check has bounced up until it is resolved. Google "paycheck bounced" with your state name and see what solutions there are for reporting your employer.

Tell your boss that your paycheck was returned and you would like to receive your compensation in the form of either cash or a cashier's check drawn on an account with adequate funds. If your boss refuses to pay you except by a check drawn on the current account, which bounced, go to your city hall and report him for defaulting on his obligation to compensate you as per local, state, and federal employment law.

well if your check did indeed bounce you should talk to your employer about this so he/she can get it taken care of. I would also keep an eye on this from now on and maybe start looking for a new job if this problem happens again.
