  1. you can try add/remove programs...or try Ccleaners add/remove programs but i had something similar and i just did scan after scan after scan. the programs i used were:

Ad-Aware, AntiVir, SpywareDoctor, SpyBot Search and Destroy, SpywareBlaster, Dr.Web (all free or open source). i think thts about it. just remember that you should only run one scan at a time otherwise they will stuff each other up.

or last resort, reformat and make sure you do a full format...not the quick option as viruses may come back from the old partition.

  2. Avast antivirus took care of my problems. After you install the free home edition, you have to run a full drive scan. If that doesn't work then try some of your other answers. Or, do it in whatever order you want.

  3. When I have a problem with my Dell Dimension 4600 Desktop, I can put it through Dell PC Recovery, on restart, by holding down on the Ctrl button & tapping on the F11 button, which will clear everything off my computer & then leave what Dell put on it, at the factory. Windows XP will

start, like it did, when the computer was new, right out of the box.Compaq

PCs have that same feature. You have to put any photos stored, on a CD-R disc.
