My pc is running slow after a antivirus/media codec virus. ive tried all of the antivirus/spyware problems.

im not sure if antivirus is gone, because there are still REG. files that are named after it.

i have no clue what to do now

does anyone know anything that works???

  4. I know when anti-viruses and other commercial softwares fail, only one thing works and thats a specialised software called "sdfix". Its very simple to use but must be used under specific instructions. Make sure you print a copy of the instructions before you start working with it. You can download sdfix for free. Let me know if it helps. Cheers!


  5. I can try and help. I use Avast antivirus the free home edition, and it cleans my machine well. You could download and try that. After you install, you need to reboot and scan all disks.

    Next (step two), download from www.download.com Glary Utilities (the free version) and run their registry cleaner and fixer. That will flag things that are screwed up.

    Try that.
