I waked up today to find that I am in period. I was shocked because it’s not due now it early by at least a week. I am on contraception this is the second month. My first month I took contraception nothing happened and my period was on its normal time. This month I missed couple of tablets and still have 10 tablets that should be taken this month.

Is this normal, I can’t see my GP today because it’s Saturday and am so worried that it might be something dangerous.

Note: i take contraception to eliminate period pain ONLY.

Thanks

  1. don't worry about it,it happens to me sometimes i am a week early or sometimes i am about a 2 weeks late all girls are different most of the time i get pains a couple days before i actually start.

  2. Don't be shocked, because any event physical or mental may change the date of your menstruation.

  3. Probably because you aren't taking your pill properly.

  4. It could be because you missed a couple of pills.  Are you on any other meds?  It seems since I have been on metformin mine comes a week early every month, I get it every 3 weeks instead of 28 days.  You may want to call your doctor on Monday.

  5. I read somewhere that it could also have to do with the girls you're around. You pick up other girl's scents and tend to have your cycle close to, or when they're also having theirs. So, if you've been around some girls lately, different then usual, it could be changing to fit more of their period schedules.

My best friend and I would spend so much time together. Eventually we started having our periods at the same time. When we both left for different colleges, our periods got further apart and starting fitting with those of our roommates. It was interesting.

  6. Same thing happened to me, but I was 2 weeks early.

I'm on the pill too but have taken it everyday.

It could just be the pill or you will sometimes get an early period.

It was very inconvenient for me because I was at my boyfriends and I didn't have any pads. And he was at work! Ugh!

  7. it will take your body about 3 months to get used to a particular pill- i'd gve it one more month and if it's not normal by then you should ask your doctor about taking a higher estrogen dose pill

missing pills can definitely s***w things up or give you your periods early, especially if it's a tri-phasic pill

  8. not to worry about this hun it happens all the time to me and it may be due to you missing your tablets and so it is telling your system that its time for your period so what i suggest is that you dont panic but finish your tablets without missing any if possible and then instead of having your normal break for your period Start your next packet straight away not leaving your period week as you have already came on. Hope this is helpful for you.

Also it will take a while for your system to get used to being on pill so that your periods are on a regular basis it took me about 4 months to get used it and to try to take it everyday
