I am a 26 year old female, and I have always had normal on-time periods. However, in July, my period was 10 days late, and so far this month, my period is late again. I am 7 days late this month; is it normal for periods to start becoming irregular?

  1. My doctor told me that everyone's cycle is different.  The average is 28 days but mine is usually every 33.

  2. Have you taken a pregnancy test? If not do take one. If it is negative consider these possibilities for your late periods. Stress, and illness can delay a period, new medications or a change of job/friends? Women who spend a great deal of time together such as sisters, classmates and coworkers tend to cycle together. If you have had a change in any of these areas, it is normal. If you are late one month you will  be starting a new cycle. So your not really late twice, just rescheduled. See you Doctor if you have any other symptoms, ie heavy bleeding, severe cramps, etc......

  3. Hey have you had a pregnancy test....

    may be something to try

  4. A few things can be the cause of this..

Have you lost a lot of weight recently?

Do you think you might be pregnant?

Did you start a new birth control or have you incorrectly taken your pill?

It is pretty unusual for your periods to have normal on-timeness until recently.

  5. idk ! u should ask ur doctor :)

  6. It is not unusual for periods to be a little bit late.  A lot of women judge their period based on the calendar date (the 15th of every month, for example) when really they should be counting 28 days from the last period, not a specific date.  Some months have more and some have less days in them, so you can get the impression that your period is fluctuating wildly just because you're relying on the wrong type of tracking.  :)

But even then, it's not abnormal for a period to vary.  My doctor told me that a period isn't really considered late until about 35 days have passed.

  7. have you been stressed lately?

    that could be why

  8. Women's cycles can vary from 21 days to 45 days.  If it has been two months in a row, then I think your cycle is just changing to a longer time.

  9. yes it can be because you are stresssing to much

  10. I have irregular periods. I am 21. I didn't get my period for 1 year. Then I finally went tot he doctor and he put me on Provera which I take for 7 days a month and then get my period in 3-4 days. I would rule out pregnancy first tho.

  11. your pregnant

  12. 10 days doesn't seem like that big a deal, as long as it came. If you're really worried about it you should see your doctor. Hope this helps :)

  13. It depends.. have you started dieting?? because if you're diet changes that could be the reason.. or stress.. i thought it should be normal by that age but there's other reasons you could be late...
