My period has been irregular... example

May- no Period

June- 8th through 13th

July- 13th through 18th

My husband and I are trying for number three, so I know I can have children and have ovulated before. I have been using mymonthly cycles .com and each time it predicted my period it was WRONG. So how do I know when I reach my fertile state?

  1. i am going through the same thing with my wife.  We have one child and she wants number 2.  For me, I can just tell when she is ovulating.  Her attitude changes, she's more sexually aggressive and, as she put's it, she goos.  I just know, with our first, we went through the different kits, had planned s*x and all that stuff and it didn't work.  When we were relaxed, it just happened.  So that's the advice I will give you, just relax, it will happen.  Don't stress!

  2. you know, i cant really give you much adviceon that because your periods seem irregular a little bit but I can tell you, they have these test that you can by at walmart, or a drug store and it can tell you if you are ovulating. Normally you ovulate, 12-14 days after your period so try that, GOOD LUCK, and im sorry I couldnt help you out just a little bit more..

  3. im completely irregular too

try and get in tune with the position of your cervix and your cervical secretions

when you are fertile your cervix will be high and you should ( i use "should" loosely) be producing lots of egg white quality cervical fluid

you will also feel more in the mood!

    good luck

  4. depending on the average days of ur cycle you can calculate the most fertile days of your cycle.

also, you can know it by charting you body basal temp.

ovulation test / ovulation microscope can help too.

  5. so far, the only cycle you have to record with is June 8th - July 13th, which was a 35 day cycle... see if you get your next period on or near Aug. 17th.. if you do, you ARE regular, but have a longer cycle of about 35 days...  if this is the case, assume that you ovulate around CD 21.   Keep in mind, you are fertile about a week prior to ovulation - ovulation.. so your best chances would be to BD from CD 14 - 22 each cycle.

I'm sure you know this but start counting the first day of your period as cycle day 1 and continue counting until the day before the next period starts.

Just curious, was thinking about your absent period in May.  Did you have your period at the very end of April? If so, you never really missed a period... that cycle would have just been about 37 days or so... which is very close (and would be considered regular) with your other long cycle.  =)

    best wishes!
