My period leaks on the side with wings?

Question

When I have my period I have to go to school. I haven't had my period very long so I don't think it's regulated yet, and it's heavy in my opinion.

I can normally have a maxi for the whole time I'm in school, but sometimes it leaks on the sides, is there anyway to fix this? My teachers don't let us use the bathroom at all during the school day. Is it how I sit? Like it'll get on the wings part and then go onto the jeans. I'm always afraid it'll go through the jeans and start dripping or something. Any help is appreciated.

hmm. try buying a wider maxi. I would change it more than once. Maybe twice. Because you can get an infection with all that bacteria on your pad. and you walking around all day with just one on.

wow. your teacher really needs to allow you bathroom breaks. That's ridiculous. Maybe try a higher absorbency pad. And try to sit without your legs crossed

Try a bigger pad and use the restroom at your break or during lunch. The bacteria can cause an infection, so it's always smart to change it at least 3 times a day depending on your flow.

I used to have the same problem with pads. But I didn't change my pad at all when I was in school. I was afraid I was going to take too long and be late for class or whatever. Maybe you could try putting toilet paper over the pad or something if you don't have the time to change it. >.< You could also try asking to go see the school nurse, she can give you a pad or let you use the bathroom there to change.

well, your teachers (atleast in AMerica) legally have to let you go to the bathroom if you need to, try during lucnh, or go to the nurse, just tell the nurse that you need to change your pad, but are not allowed to go to the bathroom, if your teacher asks why you need to go to the nurse, say you have a stomach ache and feel dizzy, or something like that, maybe say you have a bad headache and it is making it hard to concentrate

Girl your teacher is whack for not letting you use the bathroom during school.  Is she or he clued in to the fact that some woman need to go to the bathroom during the day.

ah! i have the same freaking problem! >.< i know that's not really helping much, but maybe putting toliet paper at the sides sometimes might help? And don't think too much about leaking. Forget about it for awhile, until you go to the restroom, then u could check or change into a new one.
