Question:

My periods are erratic, could this be the reason?

My periods have been very erratic lately, sometimes coming a week early and surprising me or a few days late. I have heard there is some kind of phenomenon where if there is a group of women eventually all of them will end up on the same cycle. My 12 year old daughter has started her period and i'm wondering if mine might be changing because of that. Has anyone heard of this? I'm only 36, a little too young to be starting menopause.

  1. have you tried birth control just to regulate your periods? I'm only 20 and started when I was 13 and have never had a regular period except for when I'm on birth control. I'll go months without and it will last 3 days or get it back to back and last 7 days. I'd talk w/ your gynecologist and if you haven't had your yearly check up, do that and see what they say. hope this helps! :)

  2. I am a CMA

Syncing up is not what is causing this.... No you are not too young to start menopause ... Anytime there is a shift in the menstrual cycle it is usually hormonal and you should see your Gynecologist
