My perscription for contacts is plano -2.25 180. Why do they make me see better is there is no power ad

Is it because I have astigmatism? sp?

  1. You certainly do have power.  Your lenses are to correct your myopic astigmatism.  You are "near-sighted."


  2. The part that is Plano is where a correction for near, or farsightedness would be....but you don't have either of those problems.

    Your whole correction is for astigmatism, that is the 2.25  cylinder , the 180 is the axis...the direction that the 2.25 is applied in your lenses.
