taking baths but it needs to so what do you bird owners do to freshen him or her up

put warm water in some kind of spray and spary him ever ones & a while

I have found with birds that do not like to bathe it is good to mist them with a warm water. If the bird acts afraid hide the bottle so cant see where it comes from. Then comes the fun part carry on like its the greatest thing in the world. If my friends could see me do this with my african grey they would die of laughter. I started misting while hiding then I showed him on myself I would mist myself and flap my arms and make noise and act like I was having a great time then I would do him. Now he looks foward to it and carries on like a crazy bird. Sometimes I even join in the fun. Birds love it when you act nuts. they alway like and want what you like and want so it worked. Good luck. The feathers need to be clean to insulate properly and help with moisture and the molt. It also cuts down on the dnder dust.
