My 2-year-old mouse has been scratching and cutting her ear recently. Last night it was really bad. We got rid of her bedding and used shredded cloth, but it won't last forever. Any ideas for disposable bedding (no newsprint, we think that's what caused it).

  1. I'm learning about mice my sefl. I found a realy good sit that will answer all you questions. yes the one your aking is in there and there answers will help you. On your search bar type in the fun mouse, then go to the fun mouse mousery. They evon have what the heart beat should be. An amazing sight you will use more then once. I do know you can put neosporin on the cut to help the cuts until you find out what is wrong.  Good luck to you and your friend

  2. It happened to my mouse too!

She practically scratched her whole ear off...and when I was trying to clean it this huge earwax-like ball came out of her ear...

I say you should try to find a small animal vet...

I tried to find a vet that did mice but only found one that did CHECK-UPS for 80 bucks, which did not include diagnosis and treatment.

I had to give up my mouse to the humane society for them to take care of (no not kill, but treat the ear thing) since I could not find a good affordable vet :(

  3. Its probably ear mites. You would have to go to a vet.
