you should also try giving it living world shavings:http://images.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=ht... also try getting bedding for your rat you can make bedding by ripping up tissues and cotton balls put them inside your rats home i would try a nice log cabin home since they have alot of space and they keep warm so if your rat has a cold and you get this:  http://www.pet-supply-store.co.uk/prodim... your rat will be happy and healthy i hope i helped :)

rats commonly get respiratory infections. Make sure it is not housed in an enclosed container (like a plastic or glass tank type set up) and you are not using dusty substrates.

Keep her in a warm room, go the vet and get some Baytril Oral antibiotics, you will need a consult by law to have it dispensed.

Do not leave it as they commonly die if not medicated

Your rat probably has a respiratory infection. Take her to a vet asap but in the meantime, you should clean her cage s that its free of  dust particles and make sure the air in the room is clean.

Make sure you are using the right bedding (not pine or cedar!!!), that your rats are in a well ventilated cage and room and get your rat to the vet. Though common, just like the previous poster, they need treatment or they can get worse and unfortunately go to their great reward earlier than we like.
