  1. Take her back to the vet.

  2. GO TO A VET ASAP! IT CAN POSSIBLY BE A TUMOR! GOOD LUCK!

  3. Aww. It sounds terrible. I think the best thing you can do is keep her comfortable and take another visit to the vet. I shouldn't worry too much, i'm sure she'll be fine :)

  4. It may be just a cyst so go back to the vet and find out.

  5. It is probably a tumor. When it gets big you should probably have it removed.

  6. What did the vet say the lump was?  If it is an abscess it needs to be drained and treated with antibiotics immediately.  If it is a tumour or a cyst then it also needs immediate treatment.  Either the lump needs to removed or you need to make the decision to let her go.  She can't have a good quality of life if she can't move around properly.

I'm sorry and I hope everything works out well.

  7. Take her to the vet A.S.A.P.

  8. Sorry to hear this. Its very common for lady rats to get these lumps especially the older ones.  Have another chat with the vet, but if the lump is causing her as much difficulty as you say it may be kinder to let her go.

Our rat Flash developed one of these lumps last christmas, it started off small but got bigger very quickly. The vet assured us it wasn't attached to anything vital and didn't seem to be causing her pain, so we hung on to her for a while longer. In the end the lump got so big we had to say goodbye.

  9. Definitely take her back to the vet. I used to have a pet rat, Mr Bigglesworth, and he got a lump on his side too. It was a hernia and i had to get him put down. :'(
