My pet rat is shedding, is that normal?

I came home, after being away for two days and noticed that Luci was shedding. So i gently pulled on her fur, and it came out with ease. I'm scared. Is this normal? Its the end of summer. is she losing her summer coat? I've never had a rat before, so I'm all like scared.

my rat is starting to shed too and ive been researching trying to figure out if it is normal. Ive heard some say that it could be parasites or mites and then i come to this site and it says dont worry it is completely normal.. im not sure what to believe now..
