  1. New spark plug?

  2. Old petrol loses volatiles so that it is hard to start, so the answer about that coudl be the first thing to try if you have no tused the mower for some weeks or months

  3. Check the ignition circuit.

  4. well try the spark plug cap see if its on the spark plug try pushing on it, check the wire for any damage , you can try to remove the spark plug put the wire on put the spark plug againt the engine pull the cord see if there spark on the end of the spark plug may need help for that one person the hold the plug one to pull the cord  you may get a shock from this though , or just replace the spark plug there a number on it  copy it down go the the hardware store get a new one there cheap  and also is the gas new or left over from last year you might want to replace the gas  and good luck

  5. It could be a compression problem. If the plug is getting wet with petrol it means the petrol is getting to the cyclinder in which case, as some have said, there will be no spark getting to the plug.

If there is no spark it needs to be checked by a repair person & a quote obtained.

    Best Wishes.

  6. Do what everyone does today. Throw it away and get another one.

  7. change the spark plug and use wd40 in case it is damp.
