My phone Got wet and doesnt really work.?

Question

My phone was inmy backpack and i had a water bottle in it. The top of the water bottle came off and my phone got all wet. The screen looks fine and everything shows up but the only button that works is the Red Power Button. I have a Unicel Razor and the little sticker in the back is Red now. Ummm im wondering if theres a way to fix it instead of having to buy a new phone. Ive tried taking the battery out and letting everything dry but it still didnt help. please help me. First correct answer get best answer by the way.

Either call or take your phone down to your cellular phone service provider and see what your options are.  In getting another phone.

What I did is that I put white rice in a plastic bag and put my phone and my battery separate but in the same bag for a day or two. The rice will absorb most of the water out of your phone.

I don't really know about the new phones, but, maybe if you

let it dry alot longer: it could be that the buttons have water drops in

them,  and, it will take more time to dry it out....?

What I've done when my phone gets wet is I put it in a sock, taken apart of course, and put it ion the dryer on the LOWEST setting possible just for a little while. It dries it up nice and quick. You can also try a hairdryer.

You shouldn't let it dry. The first thing you should do is blowdry it, if you haven't did that. I suggest you try blow drying it now. It should work fine if you did that the first thing.

put it next to a fan or blow dryy all the pieces.

or put it in a bag of rice.

How long did you let it dry.

I got my pink razr like right after it came out in like 2004 or 2005.

In like december 2006 it got washed in the washing machine by accident and didn't work.

I ended up getting a new phone.

I've gone through many phones since then, and i recently lost one so i went back to see if my razr still worked and it did.

So i would say just let it sit out for a week and it should work.

Maybe if you know someone with a razr, try using their battery just to start up the phone, and try to use your battery with their phone. Just to make sure your battery still works.

My phone works okay, the only problem is that when its charging, it won't make noise.
