My phone deletes messages on my phone without me doing it myself, and before i can read my new text message...

I have a blackberry pearl. How can i make it where i receive my messages and send them without them deleting themselves, and i delete them MYSELF. I dont want them to delete if i dont want them to!!!

There should be an option on your phone to automatically "clean up" messages - which means the phone automatically deletes them.  It could be that this is turned on, so you'll have to find it under one of the menus for your inbox/outbox and turn it off.  I don't have the phone so I don't know where to find this, but if you look you should be able to find it (just another options menu)
