My phone isn't showing messages?

Question

I have a Nokia Phone. It is 3G(which is rubbish i think). And it is contract. But recently it has not been showing any texts that i've had. And i know i have had them because my mates are saying why don't you reply?

I have deleted all inbox and sent messages from my phone to help create some space. But nothing has changed. I only receive the phone calls.

Does anyone know why?

Maybe whoever runs your plan has disabled texting on your phone (ie. parents)  and thats why your not getting any texts. So now you cant receive them or send them
