My phone isnt working uk virgin media?

Hi, I used my phone earlier on to phone somebody, and it worked alright, but there was thunder and lightning eariler on (after i used the phone), then my brother came in and told me to ring my mum, so i picked up the phone and there was no dial tone at all, so i said to my brother and he said i know, but could it be anything to do with the thunder and lightening?, and if its an ares fault should it be fixed soon ?

The same happened to me they fixed it within a couple of hours. Hope this helps.
