My phone keeps shutting itself off?

It's charged and everything so it's not like I need to charge it. The thing is, is when I shut it off it will play like a little thing and says good bye and everything...my phone when it shuts it self off it just goes black, it doesn't warn me or anything...it just goes off. It's an LG phone and it's at least a couple years old...idk the model, or anything and I'm guessing it's time for a new phone but I can't get one until October...so if anyone has any ideas to why it's doing this or anyways to fix it?

  1. your battery may be bad. they phone may say its charged but its still not storing the energy. my laptop is that way its says i have 2 hours of charge but it only last 15 mins at best. try taking it to your local phone dealership and get them to test the battery or get a new one and hope it works

sounds like it, another way to see if your battery is bad is to take the battery  out,  and get a battery from a freinds phone that you know works and try that(make sure its the same phone though). if it stays on you can go to walmart and get another one shouldnt be more that 10-20 dollers. and the new battery may be compatible with the new phone you get (maybe)
