my phone keeps shutting off and 5 minuets later it turns on ? i have a pantech c180

Most of the time, if the phone is actually shutting itself off and on, there is either a manufacturing defect, or the phone is damaged.  Occasionally, it could just need a software version update which your carrier would be able to help you resolve.

If your phone is less than a year old, it is probably still under warranty from the manufacturer (company who made the phone.)

Contact your cell phone carrier from a different phone so that they can assist you with troubleshooting, and if it is determined to be an equipment issue, they can assist you with a warranty exchange or replacement.  

If the phone is damaged, even internally where you can't see it, the warranty will be void, and you will probably have to buy another unless you have insurance, in which case, you can file a claim and pay a deductible of 50.00 or so.

If you've had it long enough, you may be able to get a new discounted phone with a new contract.  If not, you'd have to pay retail cost unless you can get one from a friend or family member.

Try to do a master reset first.  See if that solves your problem. If not then do warranty exchange. If you are still under warranty you can get another phone.
