My phone line work for my phone, but not for my DSL, and it only does this in one room. What to do?

So I changed my computer from one room to another, and now I have this problem. When I plug the modem into the phone jack, my DSL light wont light up. But when I plug my phone into it, I can make calls and everything. Bell, my ISP charges 99$ just to send the technician over here to see whats going on... any tips?? I had to change the computer to another room because we need that room for our baby.

Are you using the filters on the phone line?

do you have a DSL filter on this line??? must have on every line!!

The only thing I can think of, where are your filters.??? Your DSL must be on a 'clean' line with NO filter.!! Your phone should be plugged into a jack with a filter.!! Maybe your installer put a filter somewhere else that is affecting those jacks.!!
