My phone needing charing then

Question

My phone needing charing then went dead so after the normal charge and it stating CHARGE COMPLETE I unplugged it but then it went dead - If I plug the charger back in It starts to charge again then a few secs later says complete and the same happens - tried removing the batterty to no avail. - Do I need a new battery? (Ive only had it since last summer)
