My phone won't allow me to respond to SMS messages sent from yahoo messenger, help?

Alright, I'm pretty sure that I'm going to feel really stupid after this is explained to me, but...I still need help now. I'm on a trip with the family, and we're stuck in a vehicle for 7 hours. I can't get my phone to respond to messages sent to me by my friends online (messenger). I recieve the messages but my friends on messenger do not recieve my replies...Any help, suggestions?

mine has been doing the same thing. At one point I was sending and receiving messages just fine but for some reason yahoo mobile is being difficult today.  My guess is give it some time and it will start back to work soon.
