My photo booth won't close???? (apple comp)?

when i try to open photo booth on my mac, it says that its open in another application, except no other applications are open and the green light next to the camera isnt on. also, i tried going in activity monitor and nothing related shows up

HELP ME?

The most immediate thing would be to log out and then log back in. If you have more than one user accounts on your mac, and somebody is logged on, then it could be the other account. Try getting its user to log out.
