To start off, I do not have Photoshop but I do have Gimp. Well I continuously attempted to add an animated background to some of my pictures and when I'm in the process of editing them they look just fine; however, when I upload it to my Myspace to make them my default it develops this purple haze. I don't know how it got there and I wish to know. Is there anyway to get rid of it?

Here's my Myspace:

  1. Don't you have a solid background on your animation? If you are keeping the background transparent or if you don't even have a background or at least if you don't have the transparent option checked while you are saving the the animated gif  that you created then it is normal for you to have that purple haze.

If that was not the case then the other thing I can think of is that you are using more than 255 colors, gif only supports 255 color max and if you use more colors than that then it is normal to have your pictures color values and quality changed a bit.

Hope this helps and btw I couldn't see the purple hazed background on your myspace if you gave that link to your myspace, intending to show it.
