  1. Your pictus catfish are defending their own territory. And livebearers are peaceful fishes that do not have aggression to defend themselves. Anyway you do not need a divider because pictus catfish aren't very aggressive comparing to cichlids.

  2. Pictus cats need good hiding places and a pretty good size tank, under 55 gallons is too small.

How big is the tank you have for your fish?   Also, the pictus gets up to 6 inches in length and will eat anything that will fit into it's mouth.

So, you may need to provide more hiding places, and more space.

  3. pictus cats are semi-aggressive and territorial. they are chasing your mollies out of their territory(as far as they are concerned). how big is your tank? they will probably work it out, but if you see the cats chasing the mollies continually, then you will have to separate them or they will just terrorize them to death mollies are peaceful community fish and feed at the top of the water, whereas pictus cats feed at the bottom, so i would just keep an eye on them.
