  1. maybe she's half cat.. lol

  2. Don't worry, these noises are perfectly normal. It can be a bit frightening the first time you hear it, but don't freak out. The purring noises means its very happy and likes what is happening. When it purrs when you're not petting it, it usually means it likes the noise something just made, or is just happy in general. Another popular noise guinea pigs will make is this squeaking that can be quite loud and sudden. This is usually followed by pop corning, which is jumping up and down by jerking its back when happy.

So next time your guinea pig starts making noises, don't freak out. It's probably normal.

    Hope I could help!

  3. She likes it! Guinea pigs purr for two reasons, and under two completely different circumstances. If you're petting her, she's enjoying it. If she's circling around another guinea pigs, they're arguing.

Other noises are wheeking, which is a noise they make begging for their food! They do this when a fridge is opened, a bag is crinkled, you walk near them, etc. They squeak sometimes when they are distressed. They 'chut' walking around the cage in contentment. They're very vocal animals!

  4. Guinea pigs make several noises to tell you what they like or dislike. A purr like sound is a good sound! It means she is enjoying what you are doing it is also a reassuring sound for a piggy. If she is squeeking like she sounds annoyed, she probably is.  Little "chut" like sounds means she is exploring or investigating her surroundings.  She may make another squeek for food that will sound different from the annoyed squeek. You will get used to her sounds as she gets older. Hope this helped!

  5. Is it an on going pur (rumble)  for as long as you keep petting her? If she, then it is a sort of noise telling you 'hey that feels good.' actually, it is the same noise that male piggies make to female ones when asking for IT lol.

WHen i pet my male guinea pig he will often 'rumble at me' is i stroke his back.

but - if the noise is a very short vibration, accompanied by a purr - it means - 'i am a little afraid...'

just stay in tune with your piggy. you will figure it out.

  6. maybe is a catpig
