My pinky has been numb for a week. is this bad?

the pinky on my left hand has become numb and has been for about a week

it's kind of like when your foot has fallen asleep and you touch it

is this bad?

A week.. Well I don't know that sounds kinda wierd.. Maybe you could talk to a doctor or something. Better safe then sorry.

It's not good, but "bad" would depend on a diagnosis.  From a professional.  Like a doctor.  Go see one.

I agree, I'd talk to your doctor about it. If your pinky is its normal color (which I'm assuming it is or you would have mentioned it lol) it's probably a pinched nerve or something, but you might want to check it out. If it is a pinched nerve the doctor might be able to give you some ideas for fixing it, and you'll want to check just to make sure it's not an issue of inadequate blood flow.
