My pit bull is extremely weird and won't drink from her new bowl?

My pit bull is skiddish.. really skiddish. I recently got her some new bowls for food and water... her old ones were plastic and she ripped them to pieces so i got her some stainless steel ones. well she eats from the food bowl just fine but she seems REALLY scared to drink from her bowl I think it may be because she can see her reflection in the bottom? what can i do to get her to drink from it?

my cocker spaniel became scared of her water bowl because it splashed her when she knocked into it..i doubt thats the problem but who knows it could be

Unless your dog is leaving streaks of rubber across the floor, it's SKITTISH.

Leave her be, she'll drink from it when she's thirsty.  Don't baby her about it or you'll just be encouraging wincy behavior.

Get her close to it and splash the water around with your finger to show her it's just water. Don't baby her though and give in and put the water in another bowl or else she'll never drink from it. It may take her a day to finally drink out of it but eventually she will, and her not drinking water for a few hrs one day isn't going to hurt her.

i got my dogs one of the 2 1/2 gal jug type waterers and my mutt won't go near it cuz it "blooped" while she was drinking but my pit will only drink from that one.  you probably don't want to spend the money but you can get another cheap plastic one. i had to get my mutt her own bowl again.

I had the exact same issue, but I solved my problems by giving her filtered water. I don't think the water tasted the same out of the stainless but after washing it a few times and putting filtered water in the bowl she started to take to it and now she drinks out of it with no problems.

take her out for a run when she comes back exhausted, place the new bowl filled with water
