  1. i agree take her to the vet NOW!!!!! Make sure not to give her too much water as it could poison her system. My dogs got sprayed by a skunk and we gave them baths in tomato juice. But I don't know if that would help for you considering your dog got sprayed in the mouth.

  2. How terrible! Take her to the vet!

  3. She looks like she is in pain because she stinks and she knows it.

skunk smell is very hard to get out I should know my dog got sprayed. Give her a bath in tomato  juice. Several times. that should help until you get to pet store they usually sell this stuff called skunk out I am not sure of the name but ask an associate they could help with finding it for you.

  4. Sorry, but the only answer I can give

is to take her to the vet.

  5. Since the odor is in the dog's mouth you are going to need a vet on this one. They do have meds to take the smell away. Seldom does the skunk spray right in the mouth, so possibly the sides of the muzzle or neck or eye area have been sprayed. Your vet will diagnose and help get rid of the smell.

A very easy way to get rid of the smell on his body is giving him a tomato-juice bath. Tomato acids soak up the stench.

    Good luck

  6. I've never heard of skunks hurting dogs by spraying them but it cant be fun to have been sprayed in the mouth give her a bath in tomato juice and brush her teeth with dog tooth paste as soon as u can maybe even let her drink some of the tomato juice

  7. You won't find the answer here. I'm shocked that you would even ask. Take her to a VET!

  8. Skunks have two glands near their butt they use to spray. Urine does not cause the odor. The experience is very unpleasant for anyone who has been sprayed. Skunk spray's purpose is to temporarily knock out a skunk's attackers senses so it can get away. Your dog salivating is his natural defense to cleanse his mouth. The salivating should stop within a half hour after the encounter. Skunk spray rarely causes any permanent damage; however, make sure you check your dog carefully for any bite marks. Skunks are frequent carriers of rabies. When in doubt, visit a vet.

You should not let your dog in the house until you destink him. If you let him in, the spray will stick to everything. Skunk spray is made out of thiols which are sticky sulfur based compounds. The spray will not come off with soap and water. DO NOT use tomato juice, you'll just have a pink dog that smells like tomatoes. The only way to get the smell off is to chemically alter it. A home remedy is baking soda and peroxide. The solution works but it does have it's drawbacks. If you get the solution in your dog's eyes, it can be harmful, and your dogs fur may get bleached a lighter color. A product called odorxit works well with less side effects, you can use it on furniture too if your dog rubbed up against anything. Attached is a link that might be of more help to you! Good luck.
