  1. well i would ask the exterminator when should it be safe to come back. also ask him to do a quick survey about what you should do before the start.

    good luck!

  2. They didn't tell you?

No pets, no dishes, no cooking utensils. What are they doing to your place? Your pet will need to be gone, as will you.

I would kennel my pet and raise h**l, for not being told anything. I would charge back the landlord for my kennel fee.

I would wash all my dishes, before I put them back.

Move them to another room. Call the pesticide company, tell them your landlord didn't tell you what to do. Do as they say, ask for a fax, get the name of the person you spoke with, make notes and try to get it off your rent.

Really, your time is worth money!

  3. Make sure that the food is all covered well, preferably in the reefer.  Open all of the windows and doors afterwards and air the apt out well.  Any dishes left out should be washed for sure and it would probably be good to run all of the dishes through a rinse and dry cycle in the d/w.  Of course you are going to want to make sure that neither you nor your pets use the apartment for a half-hour or so afterward.
