at 3.45pm. will I have time to take that flight?

You will have plenty of time.  Don't worry about it and enjoy your flight.  Fortunately for you your flight arrives at JFK before it starts getting really busy.  Also it is not that far of a walk from the International Terminal to the Delta Terminal.  They say between 5:00 and 9:00 JFK gets really busy because that is when the international flights start departing.
