There are 3 middle hitters on our varsity team, one is a junior(all county that plays no matter what) and a senior who is just as good as me (a sophomore). she rolled her ankle in a pre season scrimmage and has been out..so I started our season opener +more. then she came back, and all of a sudden my play time is cut in half. its bullshit because I work terribly hard and ... im good!

I have the highest serving efficiency on our team and the second highest amt of solo blocks, I just dont understand...

anyone?

  1. ok well stuff like this happens. but yeah ajust be happy your on varsity. now jv hmm we have some problems there. farfrom yours on good ol' varisty. but yeah tlak to your coach hes probably a pretty cool guy that understands. actually i doubt he is bitchtits. so yeah good luck with that. and i hear you have a game tonight....good luck with that.

  2. if the other girl is better than you , all you can really do is keep trying hard and maybe on a blowout game you can show the coach what you can do

if the other girl is worse than you i suggest talking to the coach

  3. Sorry to hear it.  You must not be as good as the player they're playing instead. Sometimes the truth will set you free.

  4. think about it, that girl has probably been on the team for 2 years or 3 years already, she has earn her playing time. You are only a sophomore you will get full playing time next year so don't sweat it. It is such a big deal for seniors to play, thats their last year playing so just let her be happy and support your team. if you are better than her than your coach will put you in when she needs you.

  5. How is the team doing?  Remember, it's still a team sport.  However, if you are better, your coach should put you in when the team needs you to win.

It may be that in the long term it's the right thing to do (give her playing time).  If you're still winning and the senior is trying to prepare for college, she can get more playing time without hurting the team.

Also, a lot of coaches have a rule that you don't lose your starting position due to injury.  If that's the case, be happy you're still getting the playing time you have.

  6. you still have two more years don't trip.  but i would ask the coach if you are still mad about it.

  7. Sometimes seniors get cut a little slack because it is their last chance to play at this level, and possibly an opportunity for them to get a college scholarship. If she didn't play, she would'y have this chance, and you have 2 more years to play on this team and to get scouted for scholarships. So stop complaining, who knows, when you are a senior, you might be complaining about a sophomore who is taking your spot on the floor.

Being part of a team means that you don't get to be a prima donna, you don't get to be a super star and you don't get all the attention. You are a TEAM, not individuals playing together. So be a team and take the bench if that's what the coach wants from you.

  8. OK well i see it this way there is 2 ways you can solve it talk to your coach and ask 4 a conference to talk about if u and the other girl can switch out 1 play one game and the other play anther or talk to the girl and tell her how u feel about the deli ma and see how it goes
