My playstation 3 controller doesn't work on my friends PS3?

My playstation 3 six axis controller does not work on my friends PS3, I have tried multiple USB's to link them but it seems to be locked onto my ps3. Does any one no what i can do to get it working on my friends ps3? It works on mine perfectly well. What can I do ?!

you have to configure your controller before you are able to use it. so to connect another controller to play the ps3 you need another controller to configure the 2nd controller if you know what i mean.

u have to sync  ur remote with his ps3 tell him to put on histill thr red light comes on under neath the 1  n then u plug urs into the usb port then press the ps button n the red light beneaf the 2 shold come up on ur it meens ur controller 2 wen tht happens un plug it n u can play but wen u go home agen u have to sync it back to ur ps3 if tht dunt work i dunt have a clue

register it with your friends usb cable

When you turn on the controller near your friend's PS3 it will just keep blinking. Keep it plugged in with the USB cable for about 10 minutes and when you unplug the controller it won't be blinking.

Be sure to do this again on your own PS3.

first off reset the controller. u do this by getting something small (a needle, a pen, something wit a small pointy end) and pressing the reset button. the button is a little hole located on the back of the controller, right above the sony wireless controller sticker. after its ben resetted, get a usb cable and connect from his ps3 to ur controller then press the ps button

Everyone is right that you have to re-connect your controller via the usb cable but they are missing and important part... you have to reset the controller... the reset button is on the underside of the controller on the left side. You can use a paper clip or something small to use. Just reset it and then try again. If it doesn't work when you hit it and then try and sync it then do it when its already plugged into the PS3 via USB. I have done this many times going back and forth to my brothers house and mine.

your controller doesnt work cuz it is synced with your ps3.if u want 2 play it on another person ps3 u need 2 plug yur controller to his ps3 with a usb cable and by this it is synced with his ps3

Connect your controller to his PS3 with USB cable.  Then turn the PS3 on.  Next turn on the controller.  If it still doesn't work after that, contact sony.
