I have a small pleco in a 10 gallon with 3 mollies and 1 baby molly. The baby was just released into the tank from a side tank that's just for babies. The water was still, so it has some ick or fungus on it. There's salt in the water. Is the baby molly causing this?

  1. First of all, Plecos are not even meant to be saltwater fish, so there would be your reason. Plecos cannot survive in salty water, so it is probably very ill. I recommend possibly removing it from the tank and giving it a freshwater one[if it is still alive when you do this].

  2. plecs and mollys are both tropical fish so change the water quick! remove the salt!! for help and advice on this ask a vet or your pet shop!
